Community Cleanup

C.A.R.E. Project Community Cleanup is a grassroots, ongoing cleanup program committed to beautifying and unifying our neighborhoods. We work directly with local business, community leaders, and volunteers to identify areas of need. Once identified, we work together to execute appropriate programs that will make a lasting impact. C.A.R.E. Project Community Cleanup is at the heart of our mission — bringing our diverse community together through collective action.

Keeping the peace

The C.A.R.E. Project policed the protests, made sure there was no vandalism, picked up trash, bottles and spray cans. We also put out small fires in the area and took spray cans away from protestors in order to cultivate a peaceful protest.

Collaborative Action

Founded on the belief that we can achieve more when we come together, the C.A.R.E. Project aims to identify and align with organizations and nonprofits that share our same values. Through the C.A.R.E. Project Collaborative Action Program, we aim to add value and resources to like-minded organizations through donations, volunteer work, partnership programs, and resource sharing throughout the year.

Let’s work together.

Local Restaurant Restoration

Together the C.A.R.E. Project drove to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to work on a restaurant that had been vandalized. We cleaned up glass, trash and spent a majority of the day repainting the restaurant. By the end of the day we took all trash to the dump and drove another hour back to Albuquerque.

Resource Advocacy

C.A.R.E. Project was made aware that the To’Hajiilee Reservation had no clean running water. Promptly after, we met with the board members to discuss why they weren’t receiving it from the city and pushed for their right to clean water. We toured the reservation to assess the situation. We worked with them to find a solution and get them the clean water they deserved. They haven’t had fresh water in 5 days as of July 13th. We also toured their school and softball field to see what else we can help them with.

C.A.R.E. Project Blood Drive

My C.A.R.E. Project and I are hosting a blood drive. This virus has impacted a vital part of the healthcare system and caused a decline in the many people that normally donate blood. So I decided to take over what is normally called the “Vitalant Blood Drive,” a drive held by community members at Raw and Sauce Ultralounge.
